Character

A rich, garnet-red wine with an elegant bouquet of blackberry, cherry and chocolate. On the palate, the wine is both fruity and spicy, with liquorice notes complementing the berry aromas. Mellow tannins, a pleasing freshness, the soft, very full and harmonious body and a long finish make this wine a lasting pleasure.

Region

Aragonien

Producer/Brand

Bodegas Alto Moncayo

Alto Moncayo is the premium brand of Bodega Borsao. It was founded in 2002 and covers 60 hectares of vineyards – exclusively planted with 30 to 100-year-old Garnacha vines of the very finest quality. Everything here revolves around perfecting the Garnacha grape. And the results are highly successful, too: thanks to being aged in new barriques for between 16 and 24 months, the wines mature to create an incredibly full, dense and fabulously fruity taste.
