Character

This rich, garnet-red wine has delicate fragrances of toast and smoky notes, alongside ripe dark berries and dried fruit. On the palate the dried fruit aromas come to the fore and are joined by vanilla notes, a terrific freshness and lively tannins. Its structure is soft and round, and the aromas linger on the tongue.

Region

Venetien

With its tourist hotspot of Venice, Veneto is one of Italy’s most popular wine regions – and among the country’s three largest. Geographically, Veneto is very diverse: One third of the area is covered in mountain ranges; the central planes contain extensive rice fields and are marked by a coastline. The Venetian wines are likewise multifarious. A rocky and calcareous soil, overlain with red and brown earth, provides the vines with good growth conditions. The foothills of the Alps secure the Northern border of the vast region and protect the area from the onslaught of the Northern-European weather –thus safeguarding a balanced climate. On the warmer plains on the Adriatic shore, predominantly red vine types are cultivated. Excellent white wines are produced in the cooler regions – undoubtedly the most well-known being Prosecco.

Das traditionsreiche Weingut bringt seit 1989 exzellente und mehrfach ausgezeichnete Weine in höchster Qualität hervor, die trotz ihrer Komplexität äusserst zugänglich sind und damit maximalen Trinkspass versprechen.
