Native-yeast fermentation in an open-top vessel with around 40% of the stems. Gentle pressing followed by maturation for 14 months in three 500-litre French oak barrels.
Fresh nose with fine spice and intense aromas of ripe red fruit, orange and blossom. Lots of grip on a well-structured, elegant palate. Very succulent and soft on the finish. A superb wine.
The vineyards are situated at elevations of over 600 metres in close proximity to the Las Viejas district of Cárdenas, where the soil mainly consists of red clay.
