Hand-picked and hand-selected grapes. Fermentation on the skins followed by maturation for 22 months in French oak (95% first-use). No fining or filtering.
Deep ruby. Intense nose of dark fruit, graphite and earthy notes. Profound on the palate, with silky tannins, elegant extract, good balance and minerality.
Grown in the south-western section of the estate's Red Mountain vineyard, where the soils mostly consist of loam with granite and basalt deposits. The vines produce smaller grapes with greater concentration and intensity.
