Hand-picked and hand-selected grapes. Cold maceration ('cold soak') followed by fermentation and gentle pressing. Subsequent 12-month maturation in small oak barrels.
Medium ruby. Red and black berry richness and assertive roasted aromas on the nose. A powerful mouthfeel, supporting tannins, ripe berry flavours and finely integrated acidity lend tremendous substance to this Pinot Noir.
Daniel and Monika Marugg's vineyards are situated in the municipality of Fläsch. Their soils at the foot of the Fläscherberg and Falknis mountains, together with the mild climate of the Bündner Herrschaft region, offer ideal growing conditions.
