Grapes from organically farmed vineyards, picked and destemmed by hand. Pélo spends 12 months in used French oak barrels.
Delicate notes of dried herbs, strawberry and blackcurrant on the nose. The palate is structured, dense and complex, with fine tannins and a long finish.
The estate comprises 12 hectares of vineyard around the village of Varrains in the heart of the Saumur-Champigny appellation. Pélo comes exclusively from the oldest vines on the property, which sit on loam and limestone.
