Manual harvest involving several passes through the vineyard. Wild-yeast fermentation with 30% stems. Subsequent maturation for 14 months in oak. Bottled unfiltered.
Ruby colour. This Pinot Noir has an intense primary-fruit nose, with sweet and sour cherry, raspberry, strawberry, violet and subtle oak notes. The palate is very delicate with fine tannins. Pleasantly light and easy to drink at only 12.5% abv. Persistent on the finish, with seductive cherry and a slightly peppery finish.
Different plots in and around Westhofen. Limestone soils with varying proportions of loess-loam.
