Fermentation on the skins for 14 days and maturation for 12 months in large oak.

Red cherry, raspberry and subtle violet characters on the nose, underscored by subtle oak. Dry on the palate, with fine tannins and juicy acidity. Long on the finish, with red berries and a touch of coffee.

Eichert overlooks the village of Jechtingen, which is situated between Burkheim and Sasbach. This designated single vineyard with weathered volcanic soils has a southerly aspect and is not terraced, with vine rows oriented in the direction of the slope instead.
