The certified-organic Viognier grapes for this Condrieu come from steep vineyards, where the fruit can only be picked by hand. Pressing in a pneumatic press, followed by fermentation exclusively in used 228-litre pièces, with a subsequent 12 months of maturation.
Pale lemon colour. Powerful, complex nose of pear, quince, apple, apricot and peach, along with honey and slightly exotic notes. Full-bodied but very elegant and refreshing on the palate. Honey, vanilla and exotic fruit on a long, intense finish.
Granite with a sandy, mica-rich topsoil. Viognier is the only grape variety grown in the Condrieu AOC. Some vineyards are extremely steep.
