Fermentation at a controlled temperature of 18°C. Maturation on the fine lees for eight months in stainless steel and large oak casks.
Straw-yellow colour. Characteristically fruity varietal nose of yellow peach, lemon and grapefruit, with Mediterranean herbs such as sage and thyme. Full on the palate, with pronounced spice and minerality. Citrus and almond notes on the finish.
Sourced from the historic Russeghine vineyard situated above the town of Ranzo Borgo (230 metres above sea level). The vines, which are at least 25 years old, sit on a red clay soil rich in skeletal and ferrous minerals.
