Viticulture

A neighbour of Cheval Blanc, La Conseillante occupies a privileged place on the Pomerol plateau where gravel, sand and deep or superficial clay alternate. The Günzian gravels of the high terrace of Pomerol constitute one of the most beautiful terroirs of Bordeaux. Average age of the vines: 35 years.

Oenology

Cold pre-fermentation maceration for 4 days, vatting for 27 days. 5% of the production undergoes full vinification. Vinification in epoxy-lined concrete vats, fully temperature-controlled. Aged 70% in new French oak barrels, 27% in one-wine barrels and 3% in amphorae. Duration: 18 months.
