Viticulture
Renowned since the 18th century - Thomas Jefferson already mentioned it as the first of the second growths with Brane-Mouton -, Rauzan-Ségla has undergone a real revival since the Wertheimer family acquired it in 1994. Major work has been carried out in the vineyard to further optimise the quality. The soil is made up of Garonne gravel of Gunzian origin (fine, deep gravel). The average age of the vineyard is 30 years and some plots are around 50 years old.
Oenology
The wine is vinified in stainless steel vats and then aged in Tronçais oak barrels for 18 to 20 months (approximately 50% new wood).
