Christine Dupuy is lucky enough to vinify very old vines here that are organically grown - and now also certified! This pure expression of a robust grape variety will captivate you with its intense character of bramble and blackberry, enhanced by a quality breeding; the tannin is firm, wonderfully coated and gives a particular class to this wine for ageing.

Viticulture

Christine Dupuy is one of the two Madiran winegrowers who still own pre-phylloxera Tannat vines dating from the end of the 19th century. It is in fact 50 ares of very old vines, to which are assembled a selection of the other best old vines of the property. The soil here is predominantly clay-limestone.

Oenology

Yields 40hl/ha. Manual harvesting. Aged for 12 months in barrels, 1/3 new wood. Malolactic fermentation in barrels.

Suggestions for accompaniment

Confit of duck and Landes potatoes - Braised beef - Brie with truffles.
