Vintage sherries are unusual and this one is a perfect representative of its category, due to its great finesse and rarity (only 2800 bottles produced!). On the nose, it presents notes of grapefruit, honey, pastry and roasted almonds, due to its maturation under veil. Very tasty and smooth, with salty and nutty fragrances, it offers a fresh and iodized finish! Wine Advocate : 94/100

Viticulture

Here it is the terroir that takes precedence, as Manzanilla is produced in Sanlucar de Barrameda, the part of the Jerez vineyard closest to the sea. The wine is aged in the solera, under the flor (sail), for no more than 6 years. The wine has 15% alcohol and less than 1g of residual sugar.

Suggestions for accompaniment

Endless variations on tapas • Jabugo ham • Rock fish soup.

It has facilities in the three towns of the D.O.: Jerez, Sanlúcar and El Puerto. It is also one of the few owners of vineyards in Pago Macharnudo, considered a "grand cru". Finally, the winery is the only one in the appellation to produce single-vineyard wines: Inocente, Tío Diego, Viejo C.P. and Cardenal. The wines are still fermented according to the age-old traditional method. And very small...
