Despite the presence of structured tannins, it is ideal with red meat, a ragu and also recent Alpine cheese.

As a young wine, it exudes intense aromas of ripe fruit and a slight note of vanilla. As a mature wine, it develops more complex notes of sweet tobacco and liquorice. Harmonious and elegantly structured on the palate with a long and powerful finish. The maturity in barriques accentuates the complexity of the wine and gives it roundness and mildness.
