Born in 1986, Masseto is a 'cru' whose eponymous vineyards cover just 7 hectares. They are located within the Tenuta dell'Ornellaia, which cultivates a total of 97 hectares on the Tuscan coast. The Masseto is a single-varietal Merlot of great structure and longevity. The annual production is strictly limited and is based on a rigorous selection that springs from the idea of excellence.

Dark and rich crimson. Powerful bouquet, scented with wild berries and precious woods, accompanied by dark chocolate, some leather and musk. Very juicy and compact in the mouth with a lot of finesse. Intense berry aromas and the most beautiful roasted notes of precious wood form the middle and the almost endless aftertaste convinces with great harmony and persistence.
