Nose

It is a complex beer, with a great deal of fruitiness (ripe banana) and a fine hoppy bitterness.

Taste

It is round full and subtly sweet in the mouth, rounded off by fruit notes and a hint of bitterness. The finish is long, dry and pleasantly bitter.

Remarks

Westmalle Tripel was first brewed in 1934. This ‘mother of all tripels’ is a world reference for the style and has inspired numerous brewers.
