The Fonroque estate extends over 20 hectares a few hundred meters northwest of the town of Saint-Émilion. The 17.6 hectares in one piece which make up the vineyard are spread over a plateau and a hillside facing west. Its most expressive daily palette is that of the sunset.
2018 was a hot year, rainy in the spring then dry during the summer. These conditions produced grapes with strong tannin potential and a southern character that should not be reinforced during vinification.
