The 2020 Belvedere del Castello Luigi Ticino Merlot exhibits a dark and intense ruby color and deep, perfectly ripe and aromatic Merlot aromas with noble oak and delicate mint scents. Silky, juicy and very elegant on the palate, this is a polished, super well balanced and finely concentrated Merlot with remarkably fine tannins, mineral energy and salinity and a very elegant, remarkably intense, juicy and aromatic finish. This is a really noble Ticino Merlot with peppery tension and freshness. No need to wait for this red that already drinks very well at this early stage. 14% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Dunkles, in der Mitte sattes Rubin-Granat. Frisches, fein pfeffriges fruchtig-florales Bouquet; Himbeeren, Granatapfelkerne, zartes Vanillin im Hintergrund. Gibt sich als Jungwein schon erstaunlich kommunikativ, recht intensiv, aber auch verspielt, Melisse im Duft und dabei zart aufsüssend mit Nuancen von Red Currant Pastillen. Im Gaumen mit seidigem Fluss unterwegs. Gut stützende Säure, welche sich mit einer noblen, superb geleiteten Adstringenz verbindet. Gibt sich im Extrakt vor allem rotbeerig mit einem gewissen Holunderschimmer. Sehr aktive Primärfrucht. Hat geschmacklich reichlich Castello-Reflexe und ist doch eigenständig.
