Couleur sombre, intense, pourpre et belle. Nez très aromatique, fin, subtil, sentant les fruits noirs comme jamais auparavant. Bouche tout en délicatesse de toucher, avec beaucoup de goût, des tannins au grain fin et un brin de discrétion dans l’expression générale. Il ressemble beaucoup au profil de Latour cette année.

Que de complexité et de grandeur dans ce bouquet. Il me semble très classique, très Las Cases et affiche une énergie communicative, invitant. Notes fruitées et florales. Nuances de bois de réglisse, de cerises et de framboises combinées à de la fraîcheur variétale à laquelle viennent s'ajouter des nuances de graphites et de cèdre. En bouche le vin est dense, compact et subtile. Ses tannins se révèlent d'abord discrètement pour ensuite afficher leur puissance en crescendo en atteignant leur amplitude en finale. Ils confèrent de l'ampleur, de la grandeur et sont en phase avec le côté aiguisé de la structure acide. Un vin qui se révèle avec puissance mais avec une superbe notion de force tranquille. Un très grand vin.

Was für eine Komplexität und Größe in diesem Bouquet. Es wirkt auf mich sehr klassisch, sehr Las Cases und zeigt eine kommunikative, einladende Energie. Fruchtige und blumige Noten. Anklänge von Süßholz, Kirschen und Himbeeren gepaart mit Cabernet Frische, zu denen sich Anklänge von Graphit und Zedernholz gesellen. Am Gaumen ist der Wein dicht, kompakt und subtil. Die Tannine sind zunächst diskret, zeigen dann im Crescendo ihre Kraft und erreichen ihre Amplitude am Gaumenende. Die Tannine geben Fülle, Größe und sind im Einklang mit der Schärfe der Säurestruktur. Ein Wein, der sich mit einer großartigen Auffassung von stiller Kraft zeigt. Ein hervorragender Wein.

The 2020 Léoville Las Cases is a classic in the making, unwinding in the glass with aromas of cherries, cassis, loamy soil, violets and dark chocolate framed by a discreet touch of new oak. Full-bodied, broad and layered, it's rich and concentrated, with a deep core of fruit framed by sweet, powdery tannins and lively acids. Concluding with a long, resonant finish, it's built for the cellar.

Perfumed touches on the nose, quite high toned, blackcurrant but almost liqueur with rose petal and candy floss nuances. On the point of ripeness, still tense, not hugely expansive in the mouth or particularly weighty but juicy with a really confident energy to it - vibrant and compelling. Tannins are perfectly integrated, so fine, this has a silky overall texture with a hint of grip coming towards the mid palate. Driven and straight, not deviating from the core. Almost unfriendly, but you know this has been well made - it’s sleek, with sinewy muscles, just caged right now needing time to come around. I love the precision to the elements, there’s such a sharp attention to detail with a liquorice, slate and pencil lead tang. The flavours need coaxing a little; this is a sleeping beauty waiting to awaken, but when it does it will be delicious because of the precision. A wonderful wine that makes you really think about how it’s going to evolve.

This is incredibly classic in style with so much currant, lead pencil, crushed stone and sweet tobacco. It’s full-bodied with minerally, stoney and powerful tannins. It goes on and one. Real Las Cases here. Solid as a rock. Progresses to violet, graphite and licorice at the end.

Une essence de grand vin. Brillant, racé, tendu, modéré en alcool (13.6), juteux et moelleux, il impose une finale d'une fraîcheur folle et s'étire de longues secondes. Une déflagration de fruits en milieu de bouche, puis de la menthe et du poivre blanc pour clore le bal des saveurs.

Sehr dicht verwobenes Bouquet mit edler Cassiswürze, Bleistiftmine und dunklem Graphit. Im zweiten Ansatz Veilchenparfüm, Lakritze und Malabarpfeffer. Am Gaumen mit seidiger Textur, herrlicher Extraktfülle, dabei saftig und anregend, engmaschiges Tanningerüst, der Modellathlet mit der DANN von Las Cases. Schnellt im katapultartigen Finale mit viel Rasse und Kraft nach vorne, Wildkirsche und seidige Tannine, «This is Las Cases» meint Pierre stolz. Pierre erinnert der Wein an den 2000er und ist die Identität des Terroirs!

Sleek and slightly austere in feel, with a cold cast iron note framing a core of tightly compressed cassis, plum and blackberry fruit flavors. Shows subtle flashes of tobacco and smoldering charcoal, as the finish lingers with verve. A stoic red. Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. Best from 2030 through 2045.

Saftig, elegant, finessenreich strukturiert, reife Kirschen, etwas Lakritze, perfekt gereifte Tannine, mineralisch und lange anhaftend, sicheres Reifepotenzial, ein wunderbar balancierter Wein, der bereits jung sehr verführerisch sein wird.
